The ever-popular Galloway Antiques Fair will be making a welcome return to Scone Palace from 13 – 15 November 2009. Nationally known antiques and fine art dealers will be displaying items for sale including furniture, porcelain, glass, silver, jewellery, mirrors, sculpture, oriental rugs and carpets and much more from early Georgian through to the 1930s. Come along and search for a bargain

Inverclyde Dog Training Club in conjunction with St Columba's Episcopal Church in Aubery Crescent in Largs and are holding a Blessing for the Animals on Saturday 14th November at noon. all animals and their human companions are welcome to attend as are non animal owners. Some light refreshments will be on sale in the Church Hall and weather permitting there will be an agility and flyball display for dog owners to have a go. owners are reminded pets must be kept under control at all times. Location: Meet at Helensburgh Pier in front of the swimming pool.
Today's walk is to Duncolm, the highest point in the Kilpatrick hills.

The route follows the Loch Humphrey burn to Greenside Reservoir and goes below Cochno Hill to Craighurst and Duncolm. It returns over lesser hillocks to Loch Humphrey, Greenside Reservoir and the outward track.

On road, track and trackless high level grassland, this easy to moderate 13½ km walk has a total ascent of 351m, a maximum height of 401m and will take 5½ hrs.
